“Equipped To Care” Beginning January 25

re God and His Word sufficient to help us or someone else through life’s challenges and struggles or do we need something more?  Have you ever wanted to use scripture to help or care for someone else, but didn’t feel confident or didn’t know where to look?  If this describes you and you want to be better equipped to help others in their time of need, this class is for you!

Equipped to Care, an 8-week class, is open to anyone desiring to deepen their understanding of scripture and to better use God’s word to care for, mentor, disciple or counsel others.  Whether this is a spouse, family member, friend, fellow employee, neighbor, or person God might bring to light, you will become more confident in the use of Scripture as you minister to them.

We will look at the fundamentals of our faith starting with Scripture, God, Man, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and understanding the human heart.  We will focus on how these fundamentals apply to suffering, grief, marriage and family, how they can help a person deal with worry, anxiety, anger, loneliness, and other emotions, and how one can develop deep friendships, value others, and feel valued and useful in caring for others.

January 25, 2021 and run through March 15.

Monday afternoons from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Meeting location will be in the Woodridge Campus Treehouse

Co-led by LOCC members, Tom Taylor and Tom Purvis.
