John Romines

Project Manager

John Romines joined the LOCC team in August 2023 part-time, assisting the Executive Pastor with program development, efficiency management, and special projects.

Prior to moving to The Villages in 2019, John served with the United States Air Force for 46 years – 22 years on active duty and 24 years as a civilian employee. John served as a Mission Supervisor at a 24/7 operational site, Chief of Operational Training for a 300-person mission, Superintendent of Operations for an Air Force special project, Senior Intelligence Analyst, and a Mission Manager. He holds a B.S. degree in Management.

As the son of an Air Force veteran and an English immigrant, John spent a total of 17 years living in four foreign countries. But he can often be heard saying that he is “blessed with the good fortune of being born a citizen of the United States of America.”

A regular volunteer at LOCC, John can be seen most often directing traffic in his brightly colored Parking Warrior shirt on Sunday mornings at the Woodridge Campus. He and his wife Monica have been married for 21 years; her parents, Herbert and Frieda Groeger, reside with them in the Village of Tierra del Sol North.
